Description

A living being is a multidimensional entity. We exist in each of the known dimensions (see the article What is subtle energy?). At our core, we are an immaterial spirit made of subtle energy (see the article The Journey). This spirit, clothed in its soul, primarily exists in the spiritual dimension, on a plane corresponding to its vibrational elevation. However, it also has a reality in the mental dimension, where crystallized memories of past lives reside. The emotions felt by this spirit are contained in the astral dimension; this is referred to as the emotional body. Finally, the subtle energy that animates our flesh exists in the etheric dimension.

Perceptions

Therefore, it seems logical that by existing in all of these dimensions simultaneously, we could perceive them. If we set aside our five senses and the materialistic belief system we have been confined to, it is possible to sense each of these dimensions. However, this does not happen automatically and requires some practice. The training mainly involves raising one's vibration to open up to these dimensions and be able to perceive them. It is not necessarily about vision; each person will use their preferred sense to feel. For example, a musician will hear notes or voices, a tactile person will feel a texture under their hands, while a visual person will receive images. Our mind translates extrasensory perceptions, or those beyond our senses, into something interpretable by our brain, based on our most dominant perception. Additionally, our brain will draw upon the subconscious for meaningful analogies; this is why there are such differences in the forms of perception among mediums. It depends both on their sensitivity and their culture. The visions of a Native American shaman and those of a Mongolian will be radically different, yet they will perceive the same things.

Extrasensory perceptions require self-awareness in order to interpret them correctly. Moreover, working on oneself, especially clearing one's neurosis, is essential to eliminate unconscious projections that could interfere with a sensation. Once this calibration is done, extrasensory perceptions enrich daily life and provide many explanations for what we once called coincidence.
